What to Expect

A broad spectrum of light is transmitted through a small hand-piece which is lightly placed over the skin.
Each pulse from the hand-piece will feel like the gentle snap of a rubber band. The light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by either the targeted blood vessels or the targeted brown spots.
Brown spots will darken for 5-7 days before they flake away. Blood vessels will become more pronounced for a few days and then begin to fade.
Treatments can take place as frequently as every three to four weeks.
Maintenance treatments may be needed one to three times per year to keep up desired results.
A photofacial can be used to treat any area of the body, The most common areas are the face, neck, chest, and hands.

How many treatments will I need?

Most patients see a 70% to 90% improvement following treatment and are very happy with their results. After several treatments, the skin will feel smoother and appear to have a more even tone.
Depending on your condition and severity, up to six treatment sessions may be recommended. Each treatment session is scheduled 3-4 weeks apart. Some patients see significant improvement with two or three treatments. You can return to work the same day and resume most of your regular activities. The procedure has little to no downtime and gives gradual improvement with each treatment.

AFTERCARE

Please refrain from using your retinol products as well as any active ingredients or 3-5 days post-procedure.
You may apply makeup immediately if desired.
There is no real downtime to this procedure.
